If you knew that physical inactivity is responsible for twice as many deaths as obesity, but you don't like to exercise, drinking coffee before you work out may be just the trick up your sleeve you need.
Research by the endurance expert, Samuele Marcora, of the University of Kent, suggests caffeine could help people stick to their New Year fitness plans. His research focused on people with sedentary lifestyles. Marcora gave half his test subjects a caffeine pill and the other half a placebo. The effect of the caffeine was clear. "They felt less effort, less discomfort, and also they enjoyed exercise more", Marcora says.
An average adult around 180 pounds, drinking a large cup of coffee 45 to 60 minutes before exercising should reduce how hard and strenuous exercise feels. This could motivate you to get to the gym more often and to do a more productive workout routine.
Give it a try and let us know how it works out for you.
