Make pumpkin spice coffee at home

Halloween is over, but fall is here and winter is on it’s way. It’s nice to have this special spice in our coffee this time of year. It doesn’t have to cost a fortune, and you can have it in the comfort of your own home. Yum. Best of all, by making the Pumpkin Spice Coffee Creamer you can add it to any kind of coffee, so when entertaining guests you’ll be an all star host.

You can buy some Pumpkin Spice, OR, make your own…

Pumpkin spice

Takes 3 minutes

3 tbsp     ground cinnamon
2 tsp     ground ginger
2 tsp     ground nutmeg
1 ½ tsp     ground allspice
1 ½ tsp     ground cloves

Mix the spices together in a small bowl. Smells great doesn’t it! Store in a lidded jar, and use as needed.

Homemade Pumpkin Spice Coffee Creamer

14 ounces     heavy whipping cream, divided
1/4 cup     maple syrup
3 tbsp    pumpkin puree
1 tsp    pumpkin spice
1 tsp     vanilla extract
1 can (14 ounce)     sweetened condensed milk (or a milk substitute as needed)

Whisk 4 ounces cream, maple syrup, pumpkin puree, pumpkin pie spice, and vanilla extract together in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat pumpkin mixture in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between intervals, until heated through and completely blended, 1 to 3 minutes.

Pour sweetened condensed milk, remaining 10 ounces cream, and pumpkin mixture into a container, cover the container with a lid, and shake until completely mixed. Store in the refrigerator to use when ready.

Now, make your coffee or espresso! Pour as much of your own Pumpkin Spice Coffee Creamer in your cup as you want. Sprinkle a little cinnamon or pumpkin spice on it and enjoy.
